Modi-Putin nuclear deal

RUSSIAN President Vladimir Putin and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi ended a day of talks today by announcing a number of agreements in energy and defence.

The once close relationship between Moscow and New Delhi was revived by the Russian leader’s ambitious plan to help India build at least 12 new nuclear reactors.

Another agreement concerned the manufacture of advanced Russian military helicopters in India and the possibility of exporting them to other countries.
