At least ten Palestinians killed by Israeli troops in a raid in the occupied West Bank

ISRAELI troops have killed at least 10 Palestinians and wounded 102 others in a raid in the occupied West Bank.

The Israeli military said that it entered Nablus today to arrest three wanted militants suspected in previous shooting attacks in the West Bank.

The raid led to one of the deadliest bloodbaths in the West Bank and east Jerusalem, adding to 55 Palestinians killed by Israeli occupiers already this year.

Abu Obeida, a spokesman for the Hamas militant group that rules besieged Gaza, said: “The resistance in Gaza is observing the enemy’s escalating crimes against our people in the occupied West Bank and its patience is running out.”

Israel’s West Bank settler organisation said that Israeli officials had approved construction of nearly 2,000 new homes in West Bank settlements.

This comes two days after the UN security council approved a watered-down statement opposing Israeli settlement construction.

The 55 Palestinians already killed in the occupied West Bank and east Jerusalem this year raise the prospect that the record death toll of 150 during 2022 is likely to be surpassed.
