Second-placed Manchester cruised to a 71-57 victory over Leeds Rhinos, Emily Andrews netted 41 goals as London Mavericks enjoyed a 67-56 success at Nottingham Forest and bottom club Cardiff went down 70-63 against defending champions Loughborough.
CYCLING:
Mathieu van der Poel won his third consecutive Paris-Roubaix race on Sunday after finishing more than a minute ahead of world champion Tadej Pogacar, with Mads Pedersen another 53 seconds back in third.
Fred Wright was the highest placed Briton in ninth.
France’s Pauline Ferrand-Prevot attacked in the last 20km to take the women’s race by almost a minute from Letizia Borghezi, with Lorena Wiebes third.
MEN’S ICE HOCKEY:
Elite League regular season champions Belfast Giants beat Dundee 8-3 on aggregate to reach next weekend’s play-off semi-finals, where they will face Cardiff, who saw off Coventry by the same score.
Defending champions Sheffield Steelers needed an overtime winner from Patrick Watling to seal their narrow 5-4 aggregate success over Glasgow that set up a last four clash with Nottingham, 8-6 winners over Guildford.
WOMEN’S FOOTBALL:
Glasgow City moved top of the Scottish Women’s Premier League on goal difference after they cruised to a 4-0 win over Motherwell, previous leaders Hibs lost 2-1 to Hearts in the Edinburgh derby and Rangers drew 1-1 with Celtic.
Bottom club Dundee United were relegated following their 4-3 loss at home to Partick, Queen’s Park drew 0-0 with Montrose and Spartans came from behind to win 4-2 at Aberdeen.
