MEN’S BASKETBALL: Reigning champions Leicester Riders lost their first game of the season 89-78 to the London Lions, but it’s the Manchester Giants who top the BBL after they won 84-64 in Newcastle before beating Plymouth 92-79 on Sunday night.
Bristol remain unbeaten after seeing off winless bottom club Sheffield 68-55, the Caledonia Gladiators overcame Surrey 81-72 and Cheshire edged out Newcastle 80-77.
MEN’S FOOTBALL: While the Champions League dominates coverage tonight, Congleton will be travelling to Fylde for their FA Cup third qualifying round replay.
The teams drew 1-1 in Saturday’s televised match.

MEN’S RUGBY LEAGUE: Part-timers Batley Bulldogs’ dreams of being promoted to the Super League were snuffed out as they were comprehensively beaten 44-12 by Leigh in the Championship play-off final on Sunday.
Leigh have lost just once since being relegated from the Super League last year.
Swinton edged out Doncaster 16-10 in the League One play-off to claim a place in the Championship along with champions Keighley.
