HUNDREDS of workers at a Scottish coach-builder will launch two weeks of strike action on Monday over pay.
About 400 Unite members at bus manufacturer Alexander Dennis’s factory in Camelon, west of Falkirk, walked out for two weeks from December 4-17 last year.
They have rejected a 4.5 per cent pay rise covering last year and 4 per cent for 2024.
Unite general secretary Sharon Graham said: “Unite members at Alexander Dennis are being forced to strike again in their fight for fair pay.
“Our members remain utterly determined to get a fair offer from the company.”
Unite industrial officer Pat Egan said: “The two-week long strike action will be the first in a series of lengthy stoppages to hit the Camelon factory.
“Our members are not asking for the earth but simply an offer worthy of their hard work and loyalty.”
Alexander Dennis has been contacted for comment. The company is owned by Canada-based New Flyer Industries Group.
