Hundreds of Jews join Palestine march and denounce ‘hateful’ Suella Braverman

HUNDREDS of Jews stood in solidarity with Palestinians on Armistice Day.

A coalition of Jewish groups called for an immediate ceasefire and end to the occupation of Gaza marched on Saturday.

Called Jewish Bloc, the group denounced Home Secretary Suella Braverman’s “hate march” slurs against hundreds of thousands who protested against war crimes being committed in Gaza.

A spokesman said: “What is hateful is the attempt to divide minority communities at a time when we need most to support each other.

“I am here as a Jew to say that Braverman’s comments are not only untrue, but dangerous and offensive.”

The coalition said it marched to challenge those “who define themselves as our community ‘leaders’ but are absent from the marches, and oppose a ceasefire, choosing instead to support an enormous historic and ongoing injustice.”

It also refuted “the falsehood that peace and solidarity marches make our cities unsafe for Jews” being espoused by right-wing politicians, adding: “We have been welcomed with friendship, warmth and solidarity.”
