TWO Royal Navy sailors, including one due to start work on a Trident nuclear submarine, have been found to be members of a far-right group.

The shocking revelation comes from an undercover investigation run by anti-racist group Hope Not Hate.

It found British naval personnel had attended the Generation Identity (GI) UK annual conference in July, where participants gathered to discuss how to preserve Europe’s “ethno-cultural heritage.”

Hope Not Hate also found Generation Identity had links to far-right extremists such as Mark Collett, a neonazi and former BNP youth chairman.

The undercover investigator said one of the naval personnel claimed his officers knew he belonged to Generation Identity, adding, “all the officers are racist.”

But an MoD spokesperson said: “Any extremist ideology is completely at odds with our values.

“We take allegations of this nature very seriously and would always carry out investigations into such matters when they are made against service personnel.”

The investigation also found that GI has been expelled from its pan-European network for inviting an anti-semite to its conference.

It is believed to now be considering joining with former Ukip leadership contender Anne Marie Waters and her far-right For Britain Movement.
