Bosses pledge €4m boost for Irish rugby
IRISH RUGBY: Irish rugby bosses have pledged to pump an extra €4 million (£2.85m) into provincial and club rugby every year.
“For the second year in a row the success of the national team in the Six Nations has boosted the level of prize money secured.”
Sakho set to play despite arrest
FOOTBALL: Diafra Sakho will be involved in West Ham’s Premier League clash with Leicester despite his arrest last week, Slaven Bilic said yesterday.
The Senegal striker was arrested of suspicion of assault but Bilic believes he is in the right frame of mind to lead the line against the Foxes, while Carl Jenkinson is available having been ineligible to face parent club Arsenal.
Arsenal fans send Corbyn support viral
FOOTBALL: Arsenal fans have jumped on the “Corbynmania” bandwagon and boosted his votes this week after Tweets circulated on social media about the Islington North MP’s prolific support for the club. The MP signed a motion in Parliament labelling the club “the best football team in the world” in 2004 and his Tweets about the side have gone viral.
