Kilmarnock aim to put more pressure on County

Derek Adams’s struggling Ross County side welcome Kilmarnock to Dingwall in another important clash at the foot of the table.

County currently sit in the relegation playoff place after a 2-0 defeat to 10-man Hearts last weekend, while Kilmarnock a mere two points ahead of them following a 2-1 defeat to Partick Thistle.

The last time both teams met saw a 2-2 draw at Rugby Park, however Kilmarnock have secured two wins out of the three games between the two sides this season and will be looking to make it three wins out of four.

Derek Adams has several selection concerns ahead of the game, but failed to identify the players during his pre-match media conference.

Striker Yoann Arquin, who has been AWOL for the past fortnight, could be set for a return to the side as County are desperate to escape the drop zone. Midfielder Melvin de Leeuw could also make an appearance after returning from suspension.

Kilmarnock have no such selection worries as he can call on the same squad that faced Partick Thistle last weekend.

Scottish Cup finalists St.Johnstone travel north to take on second-placed Aberdeen, who will be without midfielder Nicky Low for the remainder of the season after he broke his toe in an under-20 league defeat to County.

Ryan Jack returns for the home side following suspension as the Dons look to cement second spot and with that a Europa League place.

Despite Aberdeen being hit by a bug earlier in the week, Derek McInnes will be looking to call on a relatively unchanged squad.
