FA fine Notts County and award Bristol three points

Notts County Ladies have been fined £500 for failing to find a stadium to play Bristol Academy on June 29.

Bristol have been awarded the three points, which moves them up into fourth place at the expense of Manchester City.

The pitch at their home ground, Meadow Lane in Nottingham, was unsuitable to play on and despite the club finding a suitable alternative the FA rejected the idea without looking at the facilities.

A new date was arranged between the two clubs but the FA rejected that proposal as well, instead choosing to award the victory to Bristol.

Notts County are currently four points above bottom-placed Everton.

Chief executive Luke Negus-Hill confirmed the club will consult their legal team and will appeal the decision.
