Eurotunnel services back to normal after crisis

EUROTUNNEL services resumed yesterday after migrants attempting to cross the channel caused several hours-long delays on both French and British sides.

Issues with migrants entering the Eurotunnel terminal at Coquelles have been a nightly occurrence in recent weeks.

Last Thursday the body of a young man was found on a loading bay by Kent Police, after attempting to reach Britain on the roof of a Eurotunnel train.

Speaking on behalf of the company John Keefe said: “Now we have got no problems and our services are running well.

“We found a way of managing the migrant crisis and have got all the holiday traffic away on time for the beginning of the holidays.”

According to Eurotunnel a cull to freight traffic travelling from France on a Saturday had allowed them to return services to normal.

Migrants’ Rights Network recently urged a “fundamental rethink” to British immigration policies.
