Ramiro goes loco at TUC demo

Our selfie-seeking reporter befriends union leaders

What a delight it is to end demonstrations in Hyde Park.

There is something quite heart-warming about walking around the park feeling solidarity between workers and trade unionists.

So when I heard a lady on the phone brag about taking a selfie with Unison general secretary Dave Prentis, I decided to get in there.

By the end of the day I had bagged a piccie not only with Mr Prentis, but also with Unite’s big kahuna Len McCluskey and the mother of all unions, TUC’s Frances O’Grady.

“Fantastic march, unbelievable turnout,” Mr McCluskey said as he promised to lead us all in a collective kicking of the Tories’ butts.
