ARIZONA CARDINALS head coach Bruce Arians said yesterday that the franchise will not be frightened away by terrorists from playing at Wembley in October.

In light of the horrific terror attacks in Manchester and London, the NFL has reassured teams travelling to Britain later this year that everything is being done to create the safest environment possible for teams, though some players are still concerned.

Safety Antoine Bethea confirmed that his wife Samantha would be travelling to London for the game against the Los Angeles Rams and Arians believes that changing “the way you think or what you do” would be letting the terrorists win.

“Any time you’re apprehensive and let [Isis] or whoever it is change the way you think or what you do, they’re winning,” Arians said.

“We’ll go and do everything we can to put on a great show. If something happens it happens, but they’re not going to scare us off.”

Bethea is trying not to think about the recent attacks, he admitted you “can’t turn a naked eye to that.

“I’ll be lying if I said I’m not worrying about it,” Bethea said. “Things have been going [on] at some big-time events and things of that nature.

“But, at the end of the day, I’m pretty sure everybody, the league, they’re going to take as much precaution as they’re going to take to protect the team, the staff and even the family members that are travelling over there.

“You try not to focus on it too much.

“But being a human and just being real and just watching the news and seeing what’s going on, you can’t turn a naked eye to that.”
