Cameron heckler gives her verdict

VICTORIA PROSSER provided the stand-out moment of the first TV debate when she heckled David Cameron. Now the straight-talking mum of two gives her verdict on Thursday’s leaders showdown exclusively for the Morning Star.

On Ukip leader Nigel Farage…
“Farage just attacks any group that disagrees with him. He usually blamed immigrants and now he’s turned on the audience for being too left-wing. Maybe they just don’t agree with his racist policies and can see right through him?”

On Labour leader Ed Miliband…
“Labour are trying to win the election by appearing different to the Tories. However, they’re not talking about tackling austerity and they want to maintain Trident. It’s a problem.”

On SNP leader Nicola Sturgeon…
“Sturgeon came across a lot better than the men. She’s got more of a touch of the people about her.”

On Plaid Cymru leader Leanne Wood…
“They have the interest of their local communities at heart, which is what I want to see more of in politics.”

On Green leader Natalie Bennett…
“The Green mentions a lot of important topics I meet on a daily basis, whether that’s affordable homes or sustainability. But they don’t always explain how they’re going to do that.”

On the debates’ effect on voters…
“The great thing about these debates is that they’ve exposed any racism and radical ideas the parties have got to the public.
“On the other hand, it’s all very scripted, the questions are very prescribed and I’m not really sure they ever say exactly what’s going on.”

On reaction to her heckle...
“I had a brilliant response. People were coming up and saying: ‘It’s great to have a voice.’
“The word on the street is that people want to be able to have their say.
They’re tired of having to look up to people who are rich and privileged making decisions about their daily lives.”
