Scottish TUC general secretary Grahame Smith will today address Catalan trade unions on issues of social justice and the “right to decide.”
Mr Smith is speaking at a conference of the Confederacion Sindical de Comisiones Obreras (CCOO) about the STUC’s A Just Scotland initiative, which aims to put “the social justice agenda and our vision of the type of Scotland we want at the heart of the referendum debate.”
He said: “The CCOO will be intensifying its campaign for the ‘right to decide’ Catalonia’s future relationship with the rest of Spain by focusing, as the STUC has done in Scotland, on a progressive vision for Catalonia based on equality and the extension of social and labour rights.”
