This festival of protest music draws on socialist songbooks, a musical history of Chartism and protests in folk and disco form to tell the stories of British radicals who found a voice through song. A family-friendly daytime programme includes talks, storytelling and sing-alongs and a performance event, Three Acres and a Cow, where visitors can find out about the history of land rights and protest in folk songs from the Norman Conquest to today. And there’s an evening fundraiser for the museum with rock band Marion, country band The Lonesome & Penniless Cowboys, singer Tracey Browne (pictured) and poet Longfella. Don’t miss.phm.org.uk
