Scotland's People’s Assembly is “growing in strength with new groups being formed across the land,” according to the anti-austerity campaign’s national chairman Phil McGarry.
Speaking ahead of a seminar on Saturday in the Unite union’s Glasgow HQ, Mr McGarry told the Morning Star: “Following our fantastic Scottish launch rally at the end of January, we now have five local groups in operation — in Dundee, Fife, Glasgow, Kilmarnock and Clydebank.”
He said the People’s Assembly was working towards the Scottish TUC in April.
“There are motions from Clydebank TUC in support of what we are doing and from PCS attacking austerity which we would urge delegates to get behind,” he said.
