SCOTTISH ministers pledged to chip in up to £750,000 to Glasgow students whose art work went up in smoke last month.
Firefighters managed to save around 70 per cent of the contents of the Glasgow School of Arts but many fine arts students saw up to three years’ work disappear.
Scottish Education Secretary Michael Russell said: “These are truly exceptional circumstances and no student should have their chance of potentially flourishing career affected by this awful incident.”
