China-Afghanistan freight train departs

CHINA: The first freight train bound for Afghanistan has left the eastern city of Yiwu, an important wholesale centre for small goods.
Its cargo of 100 containers will arrive in Mazar-i-Sharif in two weeks, half the time taken by sea.
The route is the fifth linking Yiwu to Europe or Asia, as China extends its links to regional economies.
