Scottish Palestine Solidarity Campaign lobbies Holyrood in support of call for arms embargo on Israel

Palestine solidarity campaigners in Scotland are today lobbying the Scottish Parliament in Edinburgh following Holyrood’s decision to demand an immediate arms embargo against Israel.

As reported in yesterday’s Morning Star, the Parliament also called for a United Nations-led investigation into Israel’s war crimes against the people of Gaza, where more than 1,800 have died in Israel’s most recent murderous attacks.

Scottish Palestine Solidarity Campaign members welcomed the calls for an embargo and a war-crimes investigation and will stage the lobby at noon to meet MSPs who backed the calls, and maintain the focus on Gaza.

“At a time when much of the focus is on the upcoming referendum it is essential that we all show our revulsion at the actions of the Israeli government and show that in the name of humanity the massacre in Gaza must stop,” a Scottish PSC spokesman said.
