Hibs aim to get back on track with Thistle win

Hibernian host Partick Thistle today hoping to turn over their woeful form of late.

Terry Butcher’s side have won only once in their last 16 matches and have lost their last six games in a row.

Thistle have won once in their last six games, drawing twice and on the end of three defeats — but have not lost against the Edinburgh side since October 2013, with the last game between the two sides in March seeing Thistle run out 3-1 winners.

With both teams on the same points and just one point clear of 11th-placed Kilmarnock, a win for either side could be pivotal in staving off that dreaded play-off spot.

The Easter Road side will have to do without suspended defender Jordon Forster, while fellow defender James McPake will unlikely feature as he still looks to regain match fitness following a length injury.

Alan Archibald’s side will do without defender Aaron Muirhead and midfielders Isaac Osbourne and Sean Welsh.
