Arsenal need extra time to reach final

Arsenal will face Everton in the FA Women’s Cup Final after beating Chelsea at Woking’s Kingfield Stadium.

The Reds had to come back from behind and took the match to extra-time, where Casey Stoney won the match with a header from a corner.

Ji So Yun opened the scoring for Chelsea after 20 minutes but Kelly Smith equalised two minutes later.

Yuki Ogimi thought she had sealed the win for the Blues but Smith levelled with four minutes of normal time remaining.

Danielle Carter put her side ahead three minutes into extra-time and turned provider for Shinobu Ohno to make the score 4-2.

Eniola Aluko gave the Blues a fighting chance but reducing the deficit to one but Stoney put the match beyond doubt with her late header and book the club’s eighth final in nine years.

Earlier in the day Everton defeated Notts County with a brace from Nikitta Parris in the first-half.
