A POLICE Scotland firearms officer provoked a public outcry yesterday by posting photos on Facebook of two under-10s toting guns.
The disturbing photos posted by PC Blair McMaster show a young girl and boy posing with an assault rifle and an automatic pistol.
A member of the public who discovered the photos told the Daily Record that the photo of the armed children was “absolutely sickening,” adding: “McMaster must actually think that this is a good role model for children at this age.”
In another image, Mr McMaster is aiming a hunting rifle, with a comment saying: “We were hunting huns’ heads!”
Labour MSP Graeme Pearson commented that Mr McMaster had behaved in a “thoroughly unprofessional manner.”
He added: “This is not the sort of behaviour people would expect from police officers at all.”
Mr McMaster was banned from driving after being clocked at 136mph near Inverness in 2005.
Police chiefs said that the officer would be given “appropriate advice.”
