Ministers mulling hate show response

ANTI-EXTREMISM Minister Lord Ahmad is “considering what steps” to take following revelations of a planned exhibition by racists aiming to spark a racial war.

Responding to yesterday’s Star front-page story about the far-right plot to provoke violence with an Islamophobic cartoon exhibition uncovered by Hope Not Hate, he said the government was “considering what steps we will take.

“Those who seek to spread anti-Muslim hatred should know that the government regards it as wholly unacceptable and will act against all those who seek to divide our country and sow discord.

“We have powers to exclude people whose presence is not conducive to the public good and are very clear that any suspected criminal behaviour should be investigated by the police.”
