London Irish sign Dan Leo from Perpignan

31-year-old is a World Cup veteran

London Irish have announced the signing of lock Dan Leo from French club Perpignan.

Leo, who has won 34 caps for Samoa, will join his current Perpignan colleague Luke Narraway in moving to the Irish this summer.

The 31-year-old played in the 2007 and 2011 World Cups while he spent a number of seasons with Irish’s Premiership rivals Wasps before heading to France four years ago.

“Dan Leo is a seasoned campaigner and will be a huge asset to our squad next season,” Irish rugby director Brian Smith said.

“He knows what it takes to win big games and titles from his time at Wasps and he has a wealth of Test match experience.”
