HILLSBOROUGH disaster investigators released 24 more photographs yesterday of potential witnesses that they wish to interview.
The persons of interest are thought to have helped some of the 96 Liverpool fans who died at the FA Cup semi-final in Sheffield on April 15 1989.
Last week a similar appeal was made for contact with 18 other potential witnesses, of whom 11 were identified.
The images have been released by Operation Resolve, which was set up to investigate whether or not any individuals or organisations are criminally culpable for their part in the disaster.
Resolve and the reopened inquest are down to the determination of Liverpool families who fought a 25-year campaign to expose the truth about what happened at Hillsborough in the face of a police cover-up and media complicity in the police version of events.
Anyone recognising any of the people in the images should call 08000 283-284 or via the website www.operationresolve.co.uk.
