Police searching for ‘racist’ supporters

THE British Transport Police (BTP) yesterday released pictures of seven men in relation to racist chanting a day after Souleymane S was shoved off the Paris Metro in France.

The men, believed to be Chelsea fans, were allegedly chanting racist songs at St Pancras International station in London.

The Premier League leaders have so far handed out lifetime bans to three supporters in connection to the Paris racist attack.

BTP Detective Sergeant Steven Graysmark said: “I want anyone who knows the men in the photographs to come forward. I believe the seven, thought to be Chelsea fans, can help us with the investigation.

“Do you know any of the men in the images? If so, please contact the BTP.”

Anyone with information on the incident should contact British Transport Police on 0800 405040 or by text on 61016, quoting reference B8/ESUB of 24 February 2015.

Information can also be passed anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.

Later, BTP said: “Two men have come forward in connection with the investigation into racist chanting at St Pancras International station on Wednesday February 18. Our officers are making further inquiries as a result.’’
