Watford boosted the Twenty’s Plenty campaign yesterday by announcing a reciprocal agreement with West Bromich Albion that means away fans at the clubs opening fixture, and reverse fixture, will only be charged £20 for an adult ticket.
The move follows Swansea City’s decision to subsidise the travel of dedicated away fans by capping adult tickets at £22 after they were only able to reach reciprocal agreements with nine clubs last season.
The Football Supporters’ Federation campaign was launched in 2013 and the group says fans saved £273,660 as a result of almost half of all Premier League clubs engaging in reciprocal deals last season — an average of £10.05 each.
The campaign has also seen Coventry City agree to cap all away tickets at £20 for adults, £15 concessions, and £7 juniors.
