Correction to today’s front page

Yesterday’s Morning Star reported that a former senior police officer involved in blacklisting, Gordon Mills, had been sacked by Anglia Ruskin University.

In fact Mr Mills had not carried out any work for the university since 2014 and was not an employee.

While the university’s lawyers wrote to GMB that it had no intentions to employ Mr Mills at this time, it was incorrect to claim that this constituted the termination of his non-existent employment.

We would like to apologise to Anglia Ruskin University as well as to our readers for this mistake.
