ENGLAND have slumped to their lowest Fifa rankings since 1996 after their dismal World Cup performance.
The Three Lions dropped 10 places to 20th in rankings announced yesterday.
Cup winners Germany took the top spot — for the first time in two decades — while ousted champions Spain, who like England failed to make it out of the group stages, dropped down to eighth.
Scotland remain 27th but Wales have dropped three places to 44th.
Hosts Brazil are down four places to seventh after being thumped 7-1 in their semi-final by Germany and then beaten by Holland, who have jumped 12 positions into third behind runners-up Argentina.
As recently as August 2012, England reached their record high placing of third.
