SOME punters hate it as a betting concern but others see it as an ideal betting opportunity and this year’s Shergar Cup looks as tough as always, despite the limited size of the fields, and in Green Door (12.55) we could have a huge-value nap.

There are, however, some decent wagers away from the Berkshire track, with one of the most interesting being Go Go Green in the Ayr 7.40 with the bit of dig in the ground essential to his chance.
Back down to a rating of 79, the veteran performer can make his finishing kick count against the likes of Classy Anne and Economic Crisis.
Buckstay can finally win a valuable prize when he contests the 3.05 at Newmarket.
Placed in last year’s Cambridgeshire, the Peter Chapple-Hyam charge was also second in the Spring Cup and runner-up in the Silver Bunbury Cup and although he has edged up in the weights this is his easiest opportunity for some time.
With fast ground assured, Longshadow looks sure to take his chance in the two-miler at 5.15 having missed his last two engagements due to give in the turf.
Amour de Nuit stayed on really strongly to win at Ripon earlier in the week and looks the biggest danger if getting plenty of pace in the race.
With no rain forecast in the area, Haydock Park’s meet could be run on fast ground which would play against Gabrial’s Kaka and Apostle in the 1.50.
That gives the advantage to the lightly raced Early Morning following a fair third at Sandown last time out.
The Rose of Lancaster Stakes (2.55) should go to the unexposed Intlaaq, while Speedy Move should go close in the 4.35 with the stable back among the winners.
