JESSICA ENNIS-HILL announced yesterday she will compete in the 100 metres hurdles and the shot put at the Birmingham Grand Prix on June 7.
The Olympic champion will compete in her first heptathlon since winning gold at London 2012 the weekend before at the Hypo-Meeting in Gotzis, having proved her fitness following Achilles problems, and tacking two more events at the Diamond League meeting at the Alexander Stadium will see her continue her comeback from a near two-year absence.
The 29-year-old, who is building up towards August's World Championships in Beijing and a potential title defence at the Rio Olympics in 2016, said: "I am really excited to be in a position to announce my participation in the Birmingham Grand Prix - I feel that my season is really beginning to take shape.
"I am loving being back competing - it is such a good feeling and I have had some incredible support from the public who have come to watch."
